Introduction

Polymath is a group of individuals with broad knowledge. We do not limit ourselves to one specific subject, topic or theme, but rather multiple. Our member list consists of programmers, designers, artists, security experts, marketers, and much more.

History

Polymath was founded by Lani. It built up a considerable reputation as a meeting-place for some of HF's most knowledgeable and reputed users, and was known for hosting very brief recruitment windows. However, the recruitment threads were very active, with one having 91 pages of applications. When the group was invite only, leaders received multiple offers of up to $500 for membership. Polymath's members also released a variety of tutorials, projects, and events in the group's name such as Polymath Radio, AI chatbot, soundtracks for the group, original animations, and giveaways. Work on the final project - a globe-spanning, real-world 'Cicada 3301' lookalike - ceased when the group was sold to form Crypto. Lani cited lack of time as the reason for the group's sale.
