Aequitas

Introduction

Aequitas is a group of IT enthusiasts that pride themselves on primarily their IT security expertise. The group members each have individual skills or areas in which they excel in the realm of IT. They work together collaboratively to better each other's IT knowledge. They strive to provide a suitable working and learning environment by recruiting users who are exceedingly experienced in IT as well as users who are eager to learn more.

History

Aequitas was formed on the 16th of January 2017 after ra1d purchased the previous iteration, Enigma, from zSerity for an undisclosed amount. The group had existed before the acquisition of an official on-site group and worked primarily off-site. ra1d had originally planned on launching on February 1st as that is when it was agreed he would receive the group, but he was able to secure it earlier in January. Both the banner and user bar was designed by #Doge.

Aequitas are known for their very strict recruitment system. The first on-site recruitment was held on the 10th of February 2017, although it was nothing ordinary. LaPanthere designed a challenge that users would have to complete to join Aequitas, aptly named 'Capture the Flag.' It required users to demonstrate a variety of IT skills which would be beneficial to the group. Their second and latest recruitment was available for regular applicants on 18th March 2017.
